Your community uses Gate Sentry to manage guest, vendor, and service access. If you’re visiting this page, you may have:

  • Received an access code from your community
  • Been invited as a host, administrator, or authorized user
  • Been directed here to create or manage your account

This page explains what Gate Sentry is, how to create an account, and which features may be available to you.

What Sentry Solo Is

Sentry Solo is a hardware-free access control solution designed for unmanned gates and entrances. It eliminates the need for expensive hardware or guards by providing secure, digital access tools.

With Sentry Solo, your community automatically includes:

  • VirtualKey: For remote app-based entry.
  • VirtualKeypad: For secure PIN-code access.

Welcome Email

Check your email for a message with your access code from support@gatesentry.com. If you don’t see the email, use the button below to get your access code.

App Account Creation

To access your Sentry Solo account, download the Gate Sentry App on your iPhone or Android device.

Tap the 'Create New Account' text under the Submit button.

Enter your email and create a password.

Lastly, add your access code from the welcome email and tap 'Create Account'.

If you don't have your access code, go to the web portal sign-up page and request a code.

Once your account has been created start adding guests and vendors.

Web Portal Account Creation

Click on the button below or go to portal.gatesentry.com and tap 'Sign Up'.

Add your access code from the welcome email.

If you don't have an access code click on 'Request A Code'.

Tap the 'Create New Account' text under the Submit button.

Enter your email and create a password, and tap 'Sign Up'.

Once your account has been created start adding guests and vendors.

Follow the simple steps in the video to create your Gate Sentry account on the web portal, and start managing your visitors.

Manage Your Visitors (VirtualKeypad Only)

If your community uses the VirtualKeypad, adding visitors to your account is required for their entry. Properly categorizing them ensures they get the right permissions.

Guests

Family or friends who visit frequently. You can grant them recurring access so they don't need a new code every time.

Vendors

Service providers like plumbers or delivery drivers. These should be limited to specific dates/times for your security.

Which Tool Do I Use?

Your community manager chooses which tools are active. Some communities provide one or both of the following tools to ensure the best access experience for residents and guests.

Can be used together? Yes. Many communities enable both to offer maximum flexibility.

VirtualKey

Allows you to open gates remotely via the app. Perfect for when a friend calls from the gate and you want to let them in without a code.

Community Enabled Option

VirtualKeypad

Provides a digital keypad on the visitor's phone after they scan a QR code at the gate. They enter the PIN you assigned them to gain access.
